This truly unique pendant incorporates sterling silver and caithness stone, covered in brown lichen
Lindsey has spent the last 3 years scanning the Caithness countryside to find the perfect stone to use for her jewellery. She takes great care to use the smallest of pieces of stone covered lichen where the lichen grows in abundance nearby. The stone has to be the right thickness to minimise the sanding and polishing needed to achieve the right size.
This pendant is one of a kind, the stone was found in a disused quarry on Scrabster Hill near Thurso. Traditional silversmithing techniques are used to set the stone which is encased in sterling silver.
Care instructions can be found in the drop-down menu under Caithness stone on the main page.
